Visitiors to Cape Cod

My friends David Galchutt (fabulous illustrator), and Mike come to visit from sunny California.
On our first day we visit Cape Cod. Unfortunately the Edward Gorey Museum (Sandwich MA) is closed but we are able to walk the grounds and peek in the windows. It's quite a place to see when it's open! Also take a steam engine train trip along the cape Cod Canal.

  1. Hello,

My name is Rodney. I live in Wash., D.C. I was wondering if you could give me some info about David Galchutt. I bought a Christmas card (way back in 1986) with a wonderful illustration by Mr. Galchutt. At the time, it was distibuted by Small World Greetings. They don't seem to exist anymore. So, I would love to find out if there is any way that I could obtain some other works by Mr. Galchutt in the same vein. The card has a beautiful deco/50's illustration depicting a huge Santa pulling the reins while standing in a turquoise mid-fifties Thunderbird sleigh. The background depicts what seems to be a stylized 50's diner with Santa's name on it sitting in front of a huge multi-tiered Christmas tree flanked by palm trees. There is also a palm tree to the left of Santa standing in his "sleigh". It also has some flakes of snow cascading down through the card. I saved one of these cards because I just love it so much.I'm glad I did, because I can't seem to find anything else of this nature that he's done. I hope you can help me.
    Thanks so very much,
    Rodney Zentz (rgzed@verizon.net)
