For the past 12 years six creative gals have converged at a pleasant spot to share our friendship and energy. This year we choose the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. Pictured: Judith Moffatt, Ruth L., Kay Life, Dale Barsamian, Ruth Flanigan, (her daughter Lily in front), and Cheryl Kirk Noll. We traveled from RI, Southern MA and NH.
We pose in front of the huge paintings that line the beautiful glass hallway. Then visit the three galleries. One celebrating 40 years of the Very Hungry Caterpillar. The second, a display of E.H. Shepards work from the Winnie the Pooh books. And the third a display of Tomie dePaolas work "Drawings from the Heart".
We end our day in the studio where we get to create collage art like Eric Carle. Here is Cheryl Kirk Noll hard at work.
This is my creation "Orange Cat"... I'm rather fond of it!
And then it's time to say good bye. Kay Life and I pose by the entrance way.
A Beautiful day with lots of creative energy in a picturesque setting. If you're close enough to drive, do visit! Pack your lunch (or dine in the cafeteria). There is also a lovely outdoor court yard to eat and sit in.
Seven Thumbs up to the Eric Carle Museum!
