Sunny Warm Florida

Our trip started with a visit to our Friends Anne and John. Here we all are at Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Captiva Island. From this vantage point you can see a lot of the park and it's birds. My Favorite bird was the Reddish Egret who stood out alone from the many flocks. He danced and flapped as he hunted on the far shore for food.

In Venice FL, where my mom-in-law lives, husband and I hunted for fossilized shark teeth and shells. Here's my collection. I left most of this arrangement on the beach for another treasure seeker to find(trying to cut back on my collections, I have a big jar of shells and teeth at home).
Also in Venice there is an amazing Pier. It's a cool place to walk the beach, have a bite to eat (their new restaurant is called Fins), and watch the fishermen fish all along the pier.

We also went to Thomas Edison, and Henry Fords summer home in Ft Myers. A fascinating spot that took most of the day to see. Followed by an evening at "Fords Garage" restaurant  for supper.
When I find my camera connector I hope I can put up some of the sights from that day.

So back to the cold New England weather and my warm family.
One last selfie from the beach...sigh.

  2. Nice photos, Judy. The shells and shark teeth look like the beginnings of a mandala! Hope to see you soon.
