Squirrel Bargains

 Squirrels and the colors of fall decorate my table tonight. These little glass votive holding squirrels were a collecting obsession for me for a while. They were made by Avon and are the cutest little  critters I'd come across as holders.
Years ago Sister Sue had found the mother of all glass Squirrels at the huge Brimfield antiques show in MA. She saw it was marked $24 and summoned up her courage asking the seller if  he would take $20 for it. The seller replied "I would, but every thing on this table is 1/2 price". So red faced Sister  Sue got the momma for a mere $12! Isn't it grand?

    Yes, these are very grand guards of the autumn table...And it never hurts to inquire about those price tags! :o)
